Wiliam Burley ELTON obituary
On May 22, 2008, William Burley Elton was reunited with his eternal companion and sweetheart of over 60 years. Bill was born Dec. 22, 1925 in Salt Lake City to William John and Olive Hunter Elton. Bill attended schools in Salt Lake until joining the Navy. After his service to his country, he returned and married his sweetheart, Venna Hacking, Sept. 16, 1947. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings throughout his life. Bill and Venna worked in the Provo Temple for many years then transferred to the Mount Timpanogos Temple where they served until 2002. They loved their years of service in the temples and the many friends that they gained. Bill was a retired crane operator from Tooele Army Depot. Dad loved woodwork and sitting under the apple tree carving many birds and animals. He also loved camping, fishing, hunting, collecting rocks and especially spending time doing these activities with his family.

He is survived by 5 children: Bill (Janie), Lehi; Wes (Peggy), Pleasant Grove; Kathy Beal, Lehi; Christine (David) Busk, Cedar Fort; Bonnie (Keith) Wallace, Choteau, Montana; 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Bessie Mae Cornia, Logan; Darlene Edgar, Kearns.

We as a family love him very much and are so thankful to have been part of his life. Dad and Mom are inseparable again.

A viewing will be held at the Cedar Fort LDS Chapel, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. with Funeral services being held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. and a viewing one hour prior. Interment, Cedar Fort Cemetery. Online guestbook at wingmortuary.com.
