William Arthur VAUGHAN, Sr

William "Bill" Arthur Vaughan Sr., 57, formerly of Poultney, Vermont died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at his residence in Hubbardton, Rutland, Vermont.

He was born Dec. 3, 1956, in Rutland, the son of Leslie B. "Clem" and Lois Jean (Arbo) Vaughan. He graduated from Poultney High School in 1974.

He was employed by the Williams Machine Shop in Poultney, from 1974 until 1990. After leaving Williams Machine Shop, he was a long-distance hauler, most recently employed by Ferrell Gas.

He was a member and a past master of the Morning Star Lodge #37 F&AM of Poultney, The Sword of Bunker Hill Ethan Allen #88, and a Vermont State charter member of the Widows Sons Masonic Motorcycle Association.

Survivors include a son, William A. Vaughan Jr. of Hubbardton; his mother, Lois Jean Vaughan of Barre; two sisters, Nancy Andreoletti of Barre, and Carol Allen of West Fenwick, Del.; two brothers, Leslie Vaughan Jr. of Franklin, Mass., and David Vaughan of Midlothian, Va.; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father on Nov. 30, 2005.

Burial was in the Poultney Cemetery.
