Suzanne Vaughan named Volunteer of the Year
Missouri University of Science and Technology's public radio station KMST recently honored Suzanne Vaughan as Volunteer of the Year at the station's annual membership picnic. Approximately 200 members attended the event at Lion's Club Park on Sept. 30.
"Suzanne worked tirelessly with our program manager and production personnel, raising the bar with professionally produced underwriting spots," said KMST Station Manager Wayne Bledsoe at the picnic, thanking Vaughan for her hours spent recording the spots and serving as guest host. "She is a great individual with a very professional radio voice. We will truly miss her." Vaughan and husband Jay Goff, former Missouri S&T vice provost and dean of enrollment management, recently moved to the St. Louis area.
KMST members enjoyed a large selection of foods and desserts, including meats from Swiss Meat and Sausage Company of Hermann, Mo., and chicken from Lee's Chicken of Rolla.

VAUGHAN held on assault charges
Willie Demetric VAUGHAN, a bouncer at Culpeper (Va) 401 South nightclub, was charged with charged with assault and battery following an altercation with a customer in which he allegedly struck the customer with a flashlight, causing a four-inch gash. The incident took place in February 2006.
As they say on television, all suspects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
