Greetings! There are a few ways to search the database for the names you desire. The "alphabet" will take you to all surnames beginning with that letter. For all letters but "V", this the quickest way to your name. Once in a listing, scroll down and click on the blue highlighted name to go to a Family Group Sheet where the name resides. To see the name on a pedigree chart, click on the green tree at the end of a name. To go back in time, click on arrows to the right and to go forward in time, click on arrows to the left. On Family Group Sheets you may also click on a child or parent name.

"Surnames" will show you a listing of all 5,000+ names. "Frequent Names" will show all surnames listed in their commonality order. This is more for entertainment value than quick service. The "Maps" show geographical concentration patterns and "Name & Age Stats" shows first and middle name commonality as well as age patterns.

Because there are so many names, it may be hard to know with whom an ancient name will end. The "Ancestors of..." displays the word "Root" and a number one through three which corresponds with Roy-Root 1, Harrold-Root 2 and Helen-Root 3. Clicking on the Root number will ultimately bring you to that person.
